The Sega Genesis Model 2 console was manufactured from 1993 to 1998. It is a cheaper, redesigned version of its predecessor, the Model 1. This is evidenced by how the Genesis’s architecture, particularly its sound hardware, changed between the two models.
However, due to the age of the system, theinternal ribbon cables have deteriorated, which is avery common issue with Virtual Boy units. I personally do not have the tools or expertise to perform the fix.
