It allows you to replace all the capacitors of your console. The vast majority of SEGA Nomad consoles were manufactured between 1995 & 1996, which is almost 30 years ago. Here are two assembly diagrams (photos below) to help you with your SEGA Nomad.

The controller joystick is a bit stiff and should probably be replace all together to be honest but it does work. Star Wars Racer and Pokémon Stadium have been tested and work however, Mario Golf does not work. The N64 console has been tested and works.
